Enamored with the sense of unity that arises on sweaty dance floors, Varuna’s goal is to
create more of this unity and connect people with themselves and others through music.
Growing up as the child of a former drummer and percussionist, she found early inspiration
that laid the foundation for her sound as it is today.
Her music blends otherworldly, trippy sounds with intricate rhythms that flow through gritty,
ever-evolving soundscapes, all anchored by a strong and varied rhythmic foundation. With influences ranging from Detroit, dub, deep and minimal techno to house, ambient, acid, and electro elements, she creates an utopian landscape where body and mind can connect. Currently working as a sound operator at Club RAUM and studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam’s Electronic Music Academy (AEMA), she continues to explore and evolve her technical skill set, knowledge and sound.
